PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF McCANDLESS ZONING HEARING BOARD Notice is hereby given the Town of McCandless Zoning Hearing Board will meet at the Town Hall, 9955 Grubbs Road, Wexford, PA 15090 at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014, to consider the following: 1. Custom Signs, Inc., 1535 Millbrook Road, Grove City, PA 16127 • The property is located at 851 Providence Blvd. • The proposal is signage on the Cinemark building. • The request is variance from Sections 1313.11(c)(9)F 1, 4, 5, 8 of the Town of McCandless Codified Ordinances, which state the following: the total area of a wall sign shall not exceed 1.25 square feet of sign area for each foot of length of the front building wall; no more than two wall signs are permitted on a building on any corner lot; wall signs shall not be joined or surrounded by a solid background other than the building façade; a frame or any structure shall not enclose a wall sign; no more than two lines of letters of no more than 30 inches shall be utilized; the total height shall not exceed sixty inches; a company symbol or logo shall not exceed the total height of the two lines of letters utilized. 2. Sign Vision, 987 Claycraft Road, Columbus, OH 43230 • The property is located at McKnight and Duncan Roads • The proposal is to install a monument sign. • The request is a 500 square foot area variance and a 28 foot height variance from Section 1313.11(c)(9)B4 of the Town of McCandless Codified Ordinances, which states the maximum is 100 square feet and the maximum height is 10 feet. 3. Rande & Lisa Rylands, 977 Balmoral Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 • The property is located at 977 Balmoral Dr • The proposal is to expand an existing shed. • The request is a six (6) foot side yard and a two (2) foot rear yard variance from Section 1317.04(a) of the Town of McCandless Codified Ordinances, which states a storage or utility building is permitted in the rear yard but no closer than ten feet to any lot line. 4. Thermo-Twin Window for Jay Thomas, 1155 Allegheny Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139 • The property is located at 10558 Ironwood Ln • The proposal is to enclose an existing patio. • The request is a four (4) foot side yard variance from Section 1319.02(e) of the Town of McCandless Codified Ordinances, which indicates the required side yard width in an R-3 zoned district is 25 feet.
