BOROUGH OF CASTLE SHANNON PUBLIC NOTICE TAKE NOTICE that the Borough Council of the Borough of Castle Shannon, at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on August 25, 2014 at the Castle Shannon Municipal Center, 3310 McRoberts Road, Castle Shannon, PA 15234 will hold a public hearing and consider enactment of an ordinance titled as follows: AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL PERSONS, PARTNERSHIPS, BUSINESSES, AND CORPORATIONS TO OBTAIN A PERMIT FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION OR DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH PERMITS; SETTING FORTH CERTAIN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT WITHIN AREAS OF THE BOROUGH OF CASTLE SHANNON WHICH ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR ANY PERSONS WHO FAIL, OR REFUSE TO COMPLY WITH, THE REQUIREMENTS OR PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE The proposed ordinance requires all person or other entities to obtain a permit and sets forth minimum requirements for construction and development within areas of the Borough which are subject to flooding. The Ordinance further establishes penalties for persons or entities failing to comply with the requirements of the ordinance.
