PennDOT-approved Contractors must clean bridge scuppers, downspouts, underdrains and associated storm drains via high-pressure water jetting and evaluate the existing drainage system with a self-propelled camera. Safety Inspection of Locally-Owned Highway Bridges SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. has been retained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to perform safety inspections of nine (9) locally-owned highway bridges in Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. The inspection is anticipated to begin May 19, 2014. The work will be performed during May, June, and July 2014. SAI will require the services of a qualified Contractor to provide access equipment, safety equipment, cable rigging, and maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT). SAI will receive sealed Bids from qualified Contractors until 11:00 a.m. Prevailing Time on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at 1350 Penn Avenue, Suite 300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 4211. Bids will be opened on the due date at 11:00 a.m. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Complete bid packages may be obtained from SAI at the same address on or after 12:00 p.m., Prevailing Time on April 22, 2014. Questions should be directed to Eric Liebmann, P.E., at 412.392.8750.
